What does ScentAI actually do?
It picks which of your own bottles to wear next. It scores your collection against the six-hour forecast, the hour, the season and the occasion you pick, then tells you which one fits and why.
Do I need a big collection for it to work?
No. It works from the first bottle you add. The rotation and ratings get sharper as the shelf fills out, but nothing is gated behind a collection size.
What does it read to make a choice?
The forecast over the next six hours, the time of day, the season, the occasion you choose, how you have rated each bottle, and what you wore recently, so it keeps you off yesterday's fragrance.
What is free, and what needs a membership?
Free gives you the day's pick, how well it fits, and a line on why. A membership adds the whole reading every day: why it fits, how to wear it, and what the next six hours will do to it. It also opens the concierge, Compare, the Sports occasion, and the portrait of your collection.
How much is a membership?
$4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, each with a one-week free trial. The annual works out at half the monthly rate. Prices shown are for the US store; the App Store shows your own currency.
Does it work if I turn location off?
Yes. Location is only used to fetch local weather. With it off the app falls back to a default location, and everything else works unchanged.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
Neither. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Apple handles payment, so we never see your card, and we do not keep a history of where you have been.
What do I need to run it?
An iPhone. ScentAI is free to download on the App Store, and you can add your collection and get a pick without paying anything.
How do I add a fragrance that isn't in your catalog?
Add it by name and house anyway. It joins your collection immediately and is queued to be matched against the catalog; until it links, it is scored on what you tell us about it.
Where does the fragrance data come from?
A catalog we maintain, built from public fragrance records: notes, accords, and how a bottle ranks across seasons and occasions. Where a record is thin, the app says so rather than filling the gap.
What is the concierge?
A conversation about your own bottles. It knows what you own and how each one has gone for you, so you can ask which of two suits a warm evening, or what you have that is close to something you liked elsewhere.
Can I cancel, and what happens to my collection?
Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings, in a couple of taps. Your collection, ratings and history stay exactly where they are, members and non-members alike.
Is my collection private?
Yes. It is yours, it is not published anywhere, and deleting your account from the Profile screen removes it along with your history and every rating.
Is there an Android version?
Not today. ScentAI is an iPhone app, and we would rather do one platform properly than two thinly.
